  • Figure: attractive cathedral grain on plainsawn faces.
  • Finishing: clear finishes provide rich tone; stains with care.

Workability

  • Machining: firm under tools; sharp carbide recommended.
  • Fastening: pre-drill; good fastener holding strength.
  • Gluing: bonds well with structural adhesives.
  • Finishing: sands to a high polish; maintain exterior coatings.

Performance & durability

Good durability with appropriate detailing. For exterior use, provide ventilation and drainage and maintain coating systems.
